Anglo-American teamwork at 21000 feet--High in the frozen skies

ANGLO-AMERICAN TEAMWORK FEET -- High in the frozen skies, enroute to strike at targets ranging from Kiel to Brodeaux in a thunderous daylight blow, an American heavy bomber cameraman caught this unusual shot of a British fighter plane at his left, one of the many fighters escorting great armadas of 8th Air Force bombers targetward. The camera caught a section of the bomber's wing in an unusual photo composition. The tenacious Spitfires and the big bombers feel a warm friendship for one another as they head into battle wing tip to wing tip.
