American Landing Strip in France

"Somewhere in France" - This is the entire headquarters of the first American landing strip in France. It consists of a mobile control tower, shown being camouflaged, ambulances, and crash trucks. Already in operation servicing American fighters and fighter-bombers, the field was completed by 9th Air Force engineers less than 24 hours after the invasion began.
