American Air Force on Queen Elizabeth

The American Air Force crowds the foredeck of the Queen Elizabeth, which they boarded at Greenock, Scotland, on the first lap of the long journey home. Uniforms are varied and the positions are those of relaxation. These men who have helped to bear the brunt of the all-out aerial assault on German Europe are happy with the thought of home shores, five days away, and filled with the satisfaction of a good job well done.
