All-Purpose Store In Shuri City

ALL-PURPOSE STORE IN SHURI CITY - One village in Okinawa which has several stores open for business is Shuri City, once the capital of Okinawa, Ryukyu Retto during the Golden Age. Children are shown in front of one of the all-purpose stores. The tall boy displays a model aircraft created from discarded beer cans while the girl on the right shows some of the midget bananas which grow on the island. The objects hanging in front of the store are wooden and mat shoes, or getas as they are known to Orientals. Not all villages yet have stores in operation.
