Aircraft plant at St Astier

UNDERGROUND AIRCRAFT PLANT- Entrance to the cave at St. Astier, 65 miles east of Bordeaux on the Isle River. Between the timbers on the left may be seen the shell hole made when Maquis captured 80 Germans who were guarding the cave, thus saving the aircraft machinery which had been mined.
