Air Force in France

FRANCE - With all the regular installations in ruins and the runways full of bomb craters, the Air Force men had to start from scratch. Aviation Engineers fixed the runways, and the ground crews started building with what materials they could find among the ruins. This is the control tower made of German lumber. Left to right: Sgt.
