A-26 over Kyushu Island

The rear gunner of a Douglas A-26 of the 319th Bomb Group is ready to drop some paper bombs through the bomb bay to the Japs on Kyushu Island telling the Japs the significance of unconditional surrender and the Potsdam Proclamation. The Psychological Warfare Branch dropped over 100,000 leaflets on this mission. Okinawa, 8 August 1945.
