A-20A air crew in New Guinea

ADVANCE ECHELON, FIFTH AIR FORCE, SOMEWHERE IN NEW GUINEA - This air crew, flying the Douglas A-20A, has participated in 30 combat flights against the Japanese in the Southwest Pacific. Their squadron has flown some 180 missions, and strafed 75 enemy vessels, and destroyed 17 grounded Japanese aircraft in a single raid with parachute bombs. Pictured, left to right, are: 1st Lt.
