A-20 Fostens of the 12th Air Force dropped supplies by parachute to stealthy French commandos who preceded the main waves of amphibious fighters who landed in Southern France on D-Day. The technique of dropping supplies by parachute was developed by Maj Gene C. Vance, 223 Routt St., Pueblo, Colo.
