9th Air Force in Holland

Officers and men of a 9th Air Force unit stationed in Holland were making plans for a Christmas party, 25 Dec 44, when they learned that the residents of the nearby town welcomed St. Nicholas on 6 Dec 44. The photo shows Capt. James Setright, Syracuse, N.Y., commanding officer of the unit, looking on as "St. Nicholas" distributes candy to a quartet of Dutch girls.
