9th Air Force base sleeping section

The "West Wing" is what this second-story sleeping section is called by men stationed at a 9th Air Force fighter-bomber base who built all the comforts of home-well, almost all - into what they claim is the most compact seven-room "Shackteau" on the Western front. Although only a pyramidal tent with loft added, the establishment boasts corners devoted to living room, bar, bath, armory, etc. The men retiring are left to right: Lt. Robert J. Todd of Tampa, Fla., and Lt. Arthur F. D'Agostino of Newark, N.J.
