WHITTLING DOWN THE LUFTWAFFE - Low level strafing of enemy airdromes by fighter planes of the 8th Fighter Command has accounted for a multitude of Nazi planes. Here's a good example as illustrated by photos from the wing guns of the attacking plane. UPPER LEFT - Approach view of Luftwaffe airdrome. Note parked planes. UPPER RIGHT - Strikes register on one of the enemy planes. LOWER LEFT - Fire comes from the stricken plane. LOWER RIGHT - The plane explodes as the attacking plane goes on to more targets.
