8th Air Force Plane over French village

With roaring engines an 8th Air Force Reconnaissance Plane sweeps low over a French village on a recent mission. The lone cyclist pedalling down the bomb pitted road is unperturbed by the diving plane as it roars along over the roofs of the damaged houses. This picture was taken by an unarmed 8th Air Force reconnaissance plane as it scoured the French countryside to ferret out its hidden secrets. The plane was flying at "0" altitude skimming the roof tops and climbing to pass over trees. Study of the picture has shown a white haired woman to be kneeling praying beside the wall of the building on the right, just under the window.
