8th AF bombers at Nancy

At Nancy, near Metz, U.S. 8th AF bombers attacked the airfield installations on 18 August 44. Minutes after the bomber attack, 8th AF fighter planes strafed the field which was laden with parked aircraft. Of the 51 aircraft on the ground, 31 were damaged by fire and seven by high explosives.
