8th AAF Mustang pilots in England

8th AAF Mustang fighter pilots of Col. Don Blakeslee's Group just returned to England following the first shuttle from Britain-to-Russia while escorting bombers over German targets. Later they escorted the heavies over targets in Rumania and Hungary. On the way back to England from Italy, the bombers attacked targets in Southern France. Left to right, standing: Capt.
