8th AAF develops new bombing technique

Hq., 8th AAF Developed new bombing technique: Development of a new day bombardment technique enabling bombing thru solid cloud cover was announced by the 8th AF Bomber Command Hq. recently. The value of the new technique was tested in actual operations against German targets over solid cloud cover which blanketed most of Europe. Amongst some of the targets were: Kiel, Bremen, Wilhelmshaven, & other missions involving more than 8000 bombers & fighters. Photographic assessment show satisfactory results & give promise for improvement. Additional details are withheld for security reasons.
