8th AAF bomber in England

AN EIGHTH AAF BOMBER STATION, ENGLAND -- The name of this 8th AAF Fortress is "Hard Luck," and the serial number on its fuselage add up to 13. Yet the bomber has been a good-luck ship, taking part in twenty-seven 8th AF bombing assaults on Nazi Europe, still on its original four motors and superchargers. The crewmen credit the men and women who made the Fort's fine engines, and the five ground crew members who service them for this record. Left to right: T/Sgt. Glenn M. Myers, Panama City, Florida, crew chief; Cpl. Robert Myers, Ontario, California, head of the armament crew; Cpl. Leonard F. Muszynski, Mainstree, Michigan; S/Sgt. Alex Sokolosky, Sheboygan, Michigan; and Sgt. Amos Hill, Endwell, New York.
