443rd Signal Battalion on Okinawa

Men of the 443rd Signal Heavy Construction Battalion are preparing rubber covered cables for the terminal box at the western end of the line on Okinawa, Ryukyu Retto, July 1945. One of the first jobs of the Battalion was to rebuild former Japanese lines from Nago to a point just opposite Ei Shima.
