40th Bomb Group base in China

Topped by the control tower, is the building housing the offices of Operations and S-2 at the 40th Bomb Group's advance China base. At right, is seen the section devoted to briefing rooms. 20th Bomber Command instructions to the B-29s of this Group were directed from this office during the 11 Nov 44 bombing raid on Omura, Japan, and on Nanking and Shanghai, in China.
