376th Bomb Group at Bengasi

At an air base near Bengasi, Cirenaica, Libya. Ninth U.S. Air Force Lt. Arthur J. Giuliani, Intelligence officer from New York City, interrogates American flyers of the 376th Bomb Group after their raid on the Ploesti, Roumania oil fields and refineries. The Yank fliers dropped delayed-action high explosive bombs - as well as thousands of incendiaries - on the source of over 35% of Germany's war machine fuel. First reports indicate that the target area was devastated.
