2nd Lt. Garland H

2nd Lt. Garland H. Jarvis, Sissonville, W.Va., pilot of the Consolidated B-24 Liberator "WOLF WAGON II" when it ran into a thunderhead Wednesday, rests one foot on the tool box (weight 70 lbs) that floated around "like a balloon" when the bomber did two 90 degree banks and a back flip. On his shoulder is one of the many chains of ammunition that drifted around the plane's waist in butterfly fashion as "WOLF WAGON II" floundered upside down.
