Rainwater of Dandridge, Tennessee, pictured above awaiting means of transportation back to their home base, after spending five days & nights in the dense jungles of Panama, where they were forced to bail out of their combat planes. Note the sandal made from the seat of a parachute pack, using shroud lines for thongs, improvised by Lieut. Rainwater after losing his right shoe during the jump.
